Beautiful Rainbow Quiche Dough

Mise en place (food processor, measuring cup andspoons, plastic wrap).

Ingredients:

2 sticks butter,cubed and chilled <br>2 cups all purpose flour<br>1 teaspoon salt Ice water

  • 2 sticks butter,cubed and chilled
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt Ice water

Directions:

  1. Cut 2 sticks of butter into small pieces and put it in the freezer to stay cold.
  2. Put 2 cups of all purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt in the food processor.
  3. Add one half of the butter to the flour mixture and pulse about 10 times (butter will look like little peas).
  4. Put the rest of the butter in the mixer and pulse another 10 times.
  5. Turn the food processor on and add the ice cold water one tablespoon at a time until the mixture forms a ball.
  6.  Take the dough out of the mixer and put it on the counter that has been sprinkled with flour.
  7. Use your hands to press the dough into a smooth ball. Flatten the ball and wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for  at least 30 minutes.
