- Put two sticks of softened butter into the mixing bowl, or if it is not softened, grate 2 sticks of butter into the mixing bowl.
- Add 2 cups of brown sugar and mix it with an electric mixer in the mixing bowl with the butter.
- Add 1 egg and mix it in with the sugar and butter.
- Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla.
- In another bowl, put 2 cups of all purpose (not self-rising) flour.
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt.
- Add ½ teaspoon of baking soda.
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture slowly with the mixer running.
- Add 1 cup of chocolate chips
- Make 4 big balls of dough and put them on the pan and put them in the freezer for a few minutes.
- Cook the cookies in a 350 oven and slam the pan every 3-5 minutes.
- Do not overbake. Should be ready in 13-15 minutes.
