It’s late April and it is a busy time in our garden! Late Spring is one of our favorite times of the year because we are planting so many different plants and flowers in the vegetable garden. Right now, we are growing tomatoes and bell peppers, eggplant and carrots, sugar snap peas, sunflowers, zinnias, nasturtium, and cucumbers. We will be harvesting them all summer long during our summer program.
Here’s an important tip for your garden: Use Companion Planting. Some plants grow well together and help each other grow. For example, tomatoes and bell peppers are good friends and should planted together. Tomatoes and basil are also good companion plants.
